Facebook Introduces A Possibly Friendship-Destroying Feature

K, now it's just becoming impossible to secretly ignore your friends online...(actually, maybe if you're ignoring them, they're not really your 'friends' but shhh we all have those randoms from high school or work on there).

This new feature from Facebook has been dubbed the 'friendship destruction device'.

We're all familiar with the old read receipts on the Facebook Messenger app:

Now it’s coming to events, making it impossible to pretend you didn’t see the invite to your friend’s boring party.

The only defence is to stop looking at invites… or put false maybes instead of just ignoring people.
