The Shocking Lies Spouses Tell Their Partners Revealed

Many of us will admit that we are guilty of telling are partners the odd white lie from time to time.

However, a news series of confessions on secret sharing app Whisper have revealed the most unbelievable and life altering secrets that spouses have kept from one another.

A far cry from a simple fib about how nice your partner's haircut is these married couples have hidden some shocking truths from their other halves.

Making use of the app's anonymity the confessions shared spare no detail of the shocking lies.

Perhaps some of the most heinous lies came from people who admitted to deceiving their partners about their offspring.

One confession read: "I haven't told my husband our daughter isn't his. He has raised her from the day she was born."

Another shocking admission said: "6 years ago I got my wife's sister pregnant. I never told my wife the truth. I feel bad."

Several women admitted lying about contraception in order to keep their options open to having more children.

One wife said: "I told my husband that I got my tubes tied when I had my last c-section, but I really got an IUD 6 weeks later. What if our marriage doesn't last and I find someone new."

Added another: "I stopped taking my birth control pills almost 6 moths ago! I never told my husband. We just had sex and I'm ovulating!"

Many others revealed that they had lied about what they were doing during trips away.

In an amusing confession one man said: "I told my wife I was in Mexico visiting my sick aunt and she called me and said she saw me on TV at the Mexico vs Brazil match".

Not wanting to offend his spouse another added: "Lied to my wife about a business trip. I flew to Houston just to get away, stretch my legs, smoke a cigar and enjoy some time alone."

As is common among married couples many spouses admitted to lying to their partners about money related matters.

A worried wife admitted: "I have 8k in credit card debt. I haven't even told my husband. I'm sure he'd divorce me if he knew."

In another sad tale a woman admitted: "I had to pawn my wedding ring to pay for groceries. I told my husband that I lost it. I feel sick about it."
