You may have noticed/heard about a new Snapchat update on the weekend.Â
In case you aren't in the know, this update involved a map being added to the Snapchat app, in which you can use to see where your friends are located.Â
Â
Think The Marauder's Map from Harry Potter and you'll get the idea!

If your first thought was "creepy" then you're not alone.Â
The update has caused a backlash with accusations of Snapchat using this function to collect even more personal data.Â
Police are also concerned about the safety issue this will cause when it comes to strangers/predators seeing the location of children they've friended online.Â
Not to mention the sh*t it could cause with friendships, as most Twitter users commented on:

If you don't want to be seen however you do have the option to turn on 'Ghost mode' which prevents your location from being shown.Â
