Could This New Facebook Feature Mean the End of Timelines As We Know It?

Facebook is going through a few changes right now, to the point that we can't keep up with most of them.

But this new concept they're testing is pretty big.

If there’s one thing that’s been a constant on FB since it started is the timeline.

The Facebook timeline itself has had updates, sure, but it’s always been there.

But now Facebook is testing a new feature, which could see news feeds becoming similar to tweets.

The testing for this new feature gives you the option to make a Facebook post that will show up on the news feed, but not on your personal timeline. So as more posts occur, your post will be pushed down - just like Twitter.

Facebook is giving some users across the globe the option to test it. If you have, you’ll see a “Hide from your Timeline” checkbox next to the posting button.

Interesting. We like the sound of the concept, but at the same time we're kinda like "don't fix what ain't broken".
