In this day and age, you go to McDonald's, and you've got a fair few choices to choose from. From McNuggets to McFlurries, there's something there for everyone.

But what about when McDonald's first ever opened? Wellll the people of the 1940's weren't spoilt for choice. Like at all.

The original McDonald's was opened by Dick and Mac McDonald in 1940, when the 'McDonald's Bar-B-Q' was opened in San Bernardino, California.

Eight years later the restaurant was refurbished into a format that is far more similar to today's Macca's, and the Golden Arches were introduced.

Interesting. While we do like options, there is something to say for keeping things simple and easy. All they had to do was to add nuggets to the original menu and we would have been content.
