iPhone users are going to love this rumoured new change. The annoyed pre-installed apps that you can't delete may be banished.. well if you wish.

The Mirror has reported that hidden data in iTunes suggest that the next version of iOS could let people hide the apps that come pre-installed on Apples iPhones and iPads.

You know what we're talking about when we say pre installed apps, surely? Those apps you have no use for: Stocks, Tips, Game Center, iBooks, Apple Watch, Notes, News and more.

Currently Apple doesn't let us delete these apps, so we have to resort to hiding them in a folder.

Thankfully, Apple's chief executive Tim Cook knows that iPhone users don't love the apps, as he told Buzzfeed, "It’s not that we want to suck up your real estate, we’re not motivated to do that. We want you to be happy,"

"So I recognise that some people want to do this, and it’s something we’re looking at."

The code that is hidden in iTunes suggests that apps will be hidden, but not deleted. This means they will still take up space in your phone's storage, just not on your home screen.

We're happy with them being hidden at this stage, as it's out of sight, out of mind.
