Ever wondered why they heck the power symbol on your computer/device looks like that? Why not just say "ON" and "OFF"?

Nah, neither have we.

It's something we see every day, but most of us have no idea where the heck it came from.

What does it allll meannnnnn!?

Why is it a line in a circle?

Luckily there's a YouTube genius out there who looked all this stuff up so we don't have to.

Lazy Game Reviews posted a video about the history of the power button and honestly, it's pretty simple.

The symbol is just a combination of the numbers 1 and 0.

The numbers represent the binary states of on and off.

That's it.

Well, that make perfect sense really.

It's still blowing our minds.
