Snapchat is Down! Fix is In Progress

Snapchat has been down for almost a day and we are yet to know when it will be fixed. 

Some Snap-chatters are having problems sending and receiving messages, seeing an error message that the app “could not be refreshed”.

The problems appear to be part of a Google service, meaning that some other companies have also ran into issues — though Snapchat is by far the most used app to have been affected.

The problem is thought to be due to an issue with Google’s Cloud Platform, which provides a range of tools that apps and websites can use as part of their services. 

Google says that it is working on a fix for the problems, and is providing hourly updates, but has still not provided any date or time on when the app will be working at full capacity again. 

Snapchat said that it was also working on a fix, though did not say that the issue was with Google’s tools.

In the meantime that snap of today's lunch will have to go on Insta instead.
