Setting Your Phone to This Date Will Break It

Why anyone would want to do this we have NO clue, but apparently if you set the clock back to January 1970 on your iPhone, you pretty much kill it. It actually breaks it to point you have to go into the Apple Store to get it fixed.

The discovery has came from a Reddit user, discovering that devices with 64-bit architecture will crash when the date is set back to January 1, 1970, the earliest date a phone can be set to.

Absolutely nothing but a return to the Apple Store will fix it.

A fair few people on the Reddit thread tried it out to test the theory (WHY RISK IT?!) and confirmed they too had fucked up their phone.

Pretty much any device could be subject to the tech issue, so Samsung users you may not be safe either.

Ok so now we've told you there is NO NEED to test it. Just trust the Reddit users on this one.
