Would you be willing to pay for some fancy new features from Tinder?
Now that the app is popular and has a huge database, its founders want to monetise and introduce a paid version.
Tinder is currently free (as you TOTALLY know), doesn't have advertising and users swipe through 1.2 billion profiles a day.
"We are adding features users have been begging us for. They will offer so much value we think users are willing to pay for them," Co-founder and CEO Sean Rad told Forbes.
But Rad remained tight-lipped on what the features actually are.
According to Forbes, which interviewed Tinder CEO Sean Rad at its 30 Under 30 Summit, paid features could include extended location settings. Currently, Tinder only shows users profiles of people who are within a few miles of them. Premium accounts could lift this restriction.
The "premium" paid service is reportedly launching early next month, but users will still have the options to use the original, free one.
