Do people ever even make it through a month without using up all their data? And if they do, how do these magical creatures do it?!
Well we're here to help you to get that data to last slightly longer.Â
First things first, you need to check how much data you are using. In the settings of an iOS device it tells you which apps are using up the most of your data. You can get there on your iPhone by going to settings>mobile data. From this information you have the option to turn some apps to Wi-Fi only.
If you have an Android phone you're even better off as you have the ability to set a mobile data limit. This means that once you’ve gone over your set limit your phone will stop you using any data after that.
Facebook is the number one offender of sucking up data and a big reason for this is the auto-play video feature. So you'll advantage from turning this off. Head to the Facebook app and select settings > videos and photos > auto-play > disable Smart Auto play > select Use Wi-Fi Only.
This next one is pretty well known, but we'll say it incase you don't know: disable automatic downloads so that your apps will only update when you're connected to wifi.Â
And finally, turn off those push notifications on apps. They're a killer, so just turn them off.
