One girl from Kazakhstan was preparing to take her Unified National testing, an exam which school students must take to gain entry to university, when she became so panicked that her boyfriend stepped in.

Ayan Zhademov attempted to sit the end-of-year exam for her, donning a wig and a skirt.

The 20-year-old slipped into his partner's uniform and plastered his face in make-up in an effort to trick examiners into thinking he was his 17-year-old girlfriend.

He was stopped on his way to the exam hall because he looked noticeably different to the ID card he was carrying. Apparently when he was confronted he attempted to speak in a 'high voice'...this didn't help.

"We suspected it might be another woman that had taken the candidate's place, but we never suspected it was a man that had taken her place. At least not until he started speaking. He tried speaking in a high voice but it was obvious then that he was a male."

A spokesperson from the exam board told the Daily Mail.

He was fined £1,400 for his actions but local businessmen in Kazakhstan have been stepping in to help him pay the fee after being impressed by his hopelessly romantic plan.
