It's been claimed that a school removed photos of a girl with Down’s Syndrome from its yearbook after parents complained she was ruining it.

Mothers of other children said it was humiliating for their children to be seen with 7-year-old Masha who has Down's Syndrome.

Around 5 pupils were even moved from their class so they didn’t have to sit in the same room, the Moscow Times reported.

Her mother Olga Sinayeva wrote on Facebook: ‘The album is all so very pompously glossy, with all kinds of poetry about school, friendship and mutual understanding, with pages separated by parchment paper.

‘The reason why children were asked to return this album is simple: Many parents can’t stand the photograph of the girl, Masha, who has Down’s syndrome, the daughter of the homeroom teacher, next to their children.’

Although Masha is not a pupil, her mother brought her into the classroom while she teaches as she didn’t have anyone to leave her with.

‘The mom is teaching, Masha is sitting quietly … [she] doesn’t get in anybody’s way,’ Sinayeva told the Moscow Times, adding: ‘Masha practically lives in this class, tries to interact, hugs everyone, she is kind and defenseless, but children shrink away from her.’
