Does a Cadbury Flake Melt? The Answer May Surprise You

There's an old urban legend that a Cadbury Flake is the one chocolate bar that doesn't melt.

A lady in the UK thought she'd test it out by putting it in the microwave for a minute - and - HOLY!  It goes a little bit crispy around the edges, but STAYS INTACT.

Most chocolate bars would be dripping liquid by this point.

It's pretty impossible to believe - isn't a Flake meant to be the 'crumbliest, flakiest' chocolate bar around?

So, WHY?

Apparently - this is the science-y part - Flakes are made with dehydrated chocolate, which reacts differently and simply hardens.

Craaaaayzay.
