Psychologists revealed in a new study from Oberlin College and Trinity University in the US on word aversion that it’s a question of what our brains associate it with.
Unsurprisingly, most of the words came into the language with a non-offensive meaning, but with our filthy animal instincts we’ve given them sexual undertones.
A lot of them are actually baking terms!
