You would think America of all places know what sausage rolls are, right? WRONG.
We love them for every occasion - a quick lunch, sports grub and birthday parties but it appears the Americans have been heavily deprived of these treats.
Yes, almost as though we spoke different languages, our all-American friends across the Pacific Ocean have only just discovered the sausage roll.
The New York Times introduced the existence of the puff pastry crammed with sausage meat to its country in a new published recipe.
Tweeting the recipe with a photo of a pile of sausage rolls, they explained they were “so much better” than “pigs in a blanket”.
Confused Americans everywhere tweeted about their interest and curiousity...and others sort of made fun of them.
