Got questions about ZM? We’ve got answers!
From music, hosts, and competitions to how to listen anywhere in New Zealand (or beyond), this is your one-stop guide to everything ZM.

1. How can I listen to ZM?
Stream ZM right here online or on your phone, with the free iHeartRadio app.
Find your local frequency across the North and South islands below to listen on your radio.
2. What type of music do you play?
We play all the newest hits from today and your favourite throwbacks from the 2000s and the 2010s.
Artists that feature on our playlist include: Olivia Dean, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Harry Styles, Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Tate McRae, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, SZA, Post Malone, Noah Kahan, Role Model, Charli XCX, Benson Boone, Zara Larsson, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Teddy Swims, Gracie Abrams, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Lorde, Drax Project, SIX60, L.A.B, Dom Dolla, Ruel, Sombr, Paramore, Ocean Alley, 5 Seconds of Summer, Black Eyed Peas, The Veronicas, Kesha, Avril Lavigne, Pussycat Dolls, One Direction, LMFAO, Calvin Harris, and Jason Derulo just to name a few...
3. How does ZM decide on music to play?
The ZM Music Director chooses the music we play on ZM, based on listener research and the current music charts. We also take into consideration what our listeners do and don't want to hear - you can have your say and Rate our Playlist.
4. How can I request a song on ZM?
Rate our playlist here. You can also text us your request on 9696 (standard messaging rates apply) if you want it to play asap. The best day for requests and shout-outs is during Friday Jams with Georgia! She loves to get them, she sometimes even falls for your pranks.
5. Why do some songs play more than others?
We base the frequency of music on what listeners tell us they love in our Rate the Playlist survey, as well as how high the songs are on the charts. We often run competitions where you have to listen out for a certain artist to win a trip to see them live overseas, so we might play them more frequently during the contestng period to get more people in the draw. Like when we sent 50 people to Taylor Swift in the US and Australia, as well as 10 people to see Harry Styles in Sydney, and 10 listeners to Sabrina Carpenter in L.A.
6. Who are the ZM hosts?

The ZM network was established by the government-owned New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation (later called Radio New Zealand) as three youth-oriented stations: 1ZM (Auckland), 2ZM (Wellington), and 3ZM (Christchurch).
All the stations became one over time, and the numbers were dropped leaving ZM as the current name.

Bad News Brad - AKA Brad Olsen, the Chief Executive and Principal Economist at Infometrics often joins Fletch, Vaughan & Hayley in the mornings for a financial update. We loved it when he helped us girl math new clothes!
