Count Olaf is on the horizon, and Netflix just debuted its first teaser trailer for A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Yep, it's a thing and it looks dreadful — at least, that's what Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton) wants you to believe.

We get to see Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove as the face of the beloved childhood book series. Secondly, we see Warburton as the perfect narrator, with a deep voice and deadpan skills coincide with how Lemony Snicket comes across in the books.

We don't get to see any other characters - the three Baudelaire orphans are definitely currently running for their lives from something. We are looking forward to Neil Patrick Harris who will be playing the awful Count Olaf.

The show will span eight episodes, and we cannot wait.

A Series of Unfortunate Events premieres on Netflix January 13, 2017.
