Zara and H&M Scouting Locations in Wellington

Wellington, get ready, your fashion is about to get a whole lot better!

Zara and H&M are reportedly looking to open stores in the capital.

The pending arrival of Topshop and David Jones has made other international brands think about Wellington seriously.

Representatives from Zara were in Wellington and Christchurch scouting locations, reportedly.

First Retail Group managing director Chris Wilkinson said when Zara opens, H&M will follow.

"It's looking very much like H&M are coming to Wellington and will be close behind Zara."

Later this year, Topshop is expected to open in a 1200 square metre store, across the road from David Jones, in the Capital on the Quay shopping centre on Lambton Quay.

Zara have announced they will be opening in Auckland's Sylvia Park.
