If you didn't already know, Zac Efron was cast as Ted Bundy for Netflix’s new true crime movie, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile - and we hate to admit it, but he makes a pretty convincing serial killer.Â
The series revolves around the serial murderer during the time of his trial in the 1980s and delves into his relationship with Liz Kendall.
The film is based on the book The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy by Elizabeth Kendall Bundy’s long-time girlfriend – played by To The Bone actress Lily Collins – who refused to believe the horrifying truth about him for years.
"Who would have thought Zac would go from High School Musical to Ted Bundy in his career?," one person commented.
"I am never going to see Troy Bolton the same," another added, referring to Disney character that helped launch Zac’s career.
The film is directed by the same filmmaker known for his work Netflix’s documentary Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tape - Extremely Wicked, is set to be released on Netflix New Zealand Friday 3rd May.
