Why You Now Need To Be Careful on Instagram

Just last week Instagram introduced a new "stories" feature, much like what Snapchat has.

However, this new feature may just cause some embarrassment. You might want to think twice before you watch someones Instagram story. 

You see, Instagram Stories actually lets users know you've taken a look at their pics and clips, which is fine if it's your BFF, but not so great when you're playing nonchalant with an ex.

The plus side of this is that you can see who's looking at the "stories" you share of your food/selfies/cats. To view them, simply go onto your Story and swipe up.

This is pretty much the same as Snapchat but Instagram allows you to click through to the profiles of users you aren't following and watch their Stories. They will then notified that you've watched it.

If you don't want to be caught out snooping then you can just stick to the original Instagram feed, which doesn't let people know you've been checking them out.
