Unicorns Do Exist - But They Actually Look Like This

When you think of unicorns, you automatically think of a magical, colourful, sparkly creature right? Kinda like My Little Pony but with a horn?

Well these pictures of an actual unicorn is about to crush all magical annotations you have with the creature.

Thanks to a new study in the American Journal of Applied Science we now know that not only did unicorns actually roam the earth more recently than was originally thought, but also that the creatures looked quite different than what pop culture has led us to believe.

Along with this, researchers from Russia's Tomsk State University have found a Siberian unicorn skull in Kazakhstan that they dated 29,000 years ago. Before this discovery, it was believed that the species went extinct 350,000 years ago.

Yep, not exactly as cute and as colourful as we were all made to believe. The truth hurts. 

Experts say that unicorns were less horse and more like mammoths in stature. They measured up to 6.5 feet tall, 15 feet long and weighed a whopping 9,000 pounds.

It's good to know that unicorns actually existed, but we kinda wish they just stayed a magical mystery.
