Tyra Banks says Netflix to blame for her Ice Cream business low ratings and now she's suing

Tyra Banks has filed a defamation lawsuit against Netflix following the release of Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model, a three-part documentary examining the show's history and controversies.

Banks participated in the documentary, giving a three-and-a-half-hour interview. Netflix aired sixteen minutes of it. She alleges producers edited her responses to make her appear aware of a sexual assault claim made by former contestant Shandi Sullivan; something Banks says she was not informed about during her interview.

Netflix has declined to comment.

Banks is seeking damages, citing harm to her personal brand and a drop in ratings for her Sydney ice cream business, SMiZE & DREAM.

No court date has been set.

Netflix may yet have nothing to say. The internet, however, has a lot to say.
