Transgender Fan Spends $170k to Look Like Kim Kardashian

Thalia Almodovar is a transgender makeup artist, working in New York.

She's so obsessed with Kim Kardashian that she's had numerous surgeries to look like her, costing the equivalent of NZ $170,000.

She was born a male, but transitioned into a female in her late teens, before having surgery on her breasts and backside in her early twenties.

Now 28, Thalia told UK tabloid The Mirror that she often gets stopped in the street and asked for selfies, because she looks so much like Kim.

"I couldn’t see it at first but then I embraced it. I’d get preferential treatment in clubs and restaurants. People would mob me for selfies."

Along with spending $120k on a bottom enhancement, boob job and lip injections, she's also spent $25k on clothes and makeup.

However, even though she gets a lot of attention, she still hasn't found her Kanye :(

She says, "Sometimes guys just want to talk to me because I look like Kim without getting to know me – that annoys me. I had this guy that dated me only because he had an obsession with Kim. I’m single now so I’m on the lookout for my own Kanye."
