These popular ice creams actually contain VEGETABLES!

We have just learnt some crazy things about our favourite Tip Top icecreams and we are SHOOK.

We thought we knew all there was to know about the famous Jelly Tip, after all Fletch, Vaughan and Megan even visited the Jelly Tip lab and made a new flavour a while back:

BUT what we didn't know is that the Kiwi classic contains a vegetable: purple carrot.

Yup, to get the famous red colour of the jelly, Tip Top uses purple carrot, instead of artificial colouring.

But that's not the only shocking ice cream fact. Goody Goody Gum Drops, another Kiwi fav, contains turmeric and spirulina! They use the two unusual ingredients to attain that green hue.

So with this information, we're going to just assume that if we were to have 3x Tip Top's and 2 servings of Goody Goody Gum Drops and we'd have our 5+ a day sorted... right?!
