The food we choose to eat makes an apparent difference on our weight and health, but experts also stress the importance of the times you eat.

Although you may eat extremely healthily, studies suggest that a lot of people are eating too close to bedtime, all meals at once, or meals spread out too far throughout the day.

So when should you be eating each meal? Well, it depends when you wake up. The below chart gives you an idea of how far apart you meals should be.

Researchers suggest that you should be having breakfast no later than an hour after waking up. This will kick start your metabolism for the day and sync your hunger with your circadian rhythm. Lunch should be around four hours after breakfast, and you should consume dinner around 3 hours before going to bed.
