Professional Warns Against Piercing You Should Never Get

Body piercings are often controversial at the best of times. People love 'em or hate 'em.   

There's no question, though, that you should always take a high degree of care when getting pierced. Which is why this new trend 'snake eyes' has really raised the pierced eyebrows of many...  

So, what is it?  

According to one piercing expert who hails from a salon in New York, he explains is it to Bustle as;   

"Here at Studio 28 Tattoos we have one piercing that we refuse to do. It is typically called a snake bite piercing. It is a curved barbell put through the tip of the tongue. It is incredibly unsafe to have this piercing.''    

So what exactly makes this so dangerous? This expert claims that it's one of the worst things you can do to your mouth.   

"It binds together the 2 muscles that make up the tongue so they cannot move independently. The jewelry itself sits on the back of the teeth. It is almost guaranteed that the client will see gum erosion, cracking/chipping of the teeth, and migration/rejection of the piercing leaving a nasty looking scar."
