William, Prince of Wales, once had no desire to be king.

The 44-year-old royal, whose dad, King Charles, 77, is the current monarch, is next in line to ascend the throne. But as a child, he had his sights set on two other jobs.

During Friday night’s episode of BBC’s The Graham Norton Show, William revealed: “I did want to be a policeman when I was younger, I thought I could make a good one”.

Surprisingly, the Prince of Wales “went through a phase of wanting to be a DJ”, but after trying his hand at mixing tracks, he admitted he “wasn’t very good”.
