This is about to unlock core childhood memories for 90’s and 2000’s kids 🌈🤗
One of Aotearoa’s most loved children’s show is having its moment again, with the You and Me theme song now released on all major streaming platforms. A proper throwback for anyone who grew up watching it.
A brand new season is also on the way, hosted by Suzy Cato. The first new episodes in over 28 years will launch Saturday 2nd May on YouTube, bringing the show back for today’s tamariki while keeping everything that made it special.
You and Me first aired on TV3 in 1993 and went on to create over 2,000 episodes. It became a staple for many Kiwi households, with songs, stories and simple everyday moments that stuck with a whole generation.
It was also one of the first children’s shows in Aotearoa to regularly include Te Reo Māori in a natural way, helping bring it into everyday use for young viewers.
Each of the 25 weekly episodes in the new series will come with a song release, including It’s Our Time, giving families more ways to keep listening beyond the screen.
Releasing the theme song on streaming platforms means it now sits in the same places families already listen to music every day.
