Netflix is back to fulfill your true crime addiction- and this one is especially heartbreaking.
A dramatisation of real events, Lost Girls tells the harrowing story of the Long Island serial killer, who murdered at least 10 people between 1996 and 2010 - though it's believed they may have murdered many more.
Based on the novel Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery, he movie centres around the investigation into the death of Shannan Gilbert, a prostitute who disappeared shortly before the bodies of four other women were discovered along Ocean Parkway in Suffolk County, the US.
The trailer for the film is especially compelling and even features Kiwi actress Thomasin McKenzie (previously in JoJo Rabbit and Shortland Street) as one of the film's main characters.
Lost Girls hits Netflix, March 13.
