Netflix New Zealand have had a billing error, meaning one woman was charged 21 times her usual fee!

Aucklander Olivia Flack said she was surprised to find her latest monthly payment was $314.79, instead of the usual $14.99 debited from her account.

The extra charges appeared on November 8 and she reported them to Netflix.

Flack said the company's call centre operator told her it was part of a "widespread New Zealand issue".

Though, the company has said in a statement that the problem has been resolved.

“A small number of Netflix members in New Zealand experienced multiple charges on their account," the statement said.

"Affected customers are being issued refunds."

Flack said she has yet to be refunded.

She has made four calls to the company in the past two weeks but the extra $300 was yet to be paid back to her account, and she wasn't given a timeframe on how long it would take, she said.

"I'm pretty unimpressed. It's put us into overdraft so there's the bank fees and all the rest of it.

"I'm a bit p...ed off to be honest."

In May 2015 Netflix issued a public apology over a similar over-charging error.

At the time multiple complaints were posted to the company's social media pages, including one user who was billed 11 times.

Eeeek - guys, check your bank statements!
