Model re-captions her Instagram posts to expose the cruel reality behind her photoshoots

Jazz Egger – a London-based model who appeared in Germany’s Next Top Model, has decided to use her own social media platform to expose the truth behind her job.

Adding the hashtag #truthbehindthisshot to each Instagram post, the 19-yr-old reveals what actually went on behind-the-scenes of her catwalk shows and photoshoots.

In the photo above, Jazz reveals that her agency had said her “hips were way too wide” and told her to slim down if she wanted to walk at London Fashion Week.

Another honest post reveals that the only reason she had stayed on Instagram, was to please her casting directors. It turns out these innocent looking selfies actually have a lot more to them:

#notgonnalie At this point the only reason I'm still on instagram is bc casting directors started asking how many followers I have so they can decide whether they consider me or nah. Hi beautiful people 🌸 My mum used to say "Don't worry, nothing can ruin a beautiful face," whenever I spent up to an hour covering up my skin before leaving the house. So many of you thanked me for being honest, especially when it comes to makeup and photoshop. So listen up: It's crazy that "imperfect" skin is not socially acceptable, when most of us suffer from it. Let's try to make it a little more normal. No matter if you have a scar on your face, spots, or whatever - please share a photo of you and tag it with #NothingCanRuinABeautifulFace (oh and pls tag me so I get notified) We must stop seeing natural things as blemishes. Egger is encouraging her followers to post a makeup-free selfie regardless of any scars or pimples and tag it #NothingCanRuinABeautifulFace.

It just goes to show there is a lot more to social media than we realise...
