We're not sure about you, but generally we're more interested in scoffing down our nuggies without much thought on what they look like!

But have you ever noticed they always come in four different shapes?

McDonald's chicken nuggets always come in one of four shapes: the bell, the ball, the boot and the bow tie (also known as the bone).

And the reason? Just so kids can have fun and enjoy them. LOL, kids. Do they not realise full grown adults actually probably enjoy the nuggies more?!

"Our Chicken McNuggets are shaped uniquely for kids and kids at heart - it makes dipping more fun," the company wrote on its Q&A page"The four shapes we make Chicken McNuggets in was the perfect equilibrium of dipability and fun.

"Three would've been too few, five would've been wacky. We also make them similar in size to ensure consistent cooking times for food safety."
