Margot Robbie's a Barbie girl living in a Barbie world in first-look pics of the iconic role!

Production on Barbie looks to be underway after Warner Bros. Pictures shared a first-look image of Margot Robbie as the iconic Barbie!  

The studio shared the stunning snap along with the release date on Twitter!  

The decision for director Greta Gerwig (Little Women & Lady Bird) to undertake this project has generated curiosity online as Margo shared with British Vouge last year. 

"People generally hear Barbie and think, 'I know what that movie is going to be,' and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they're like, 'Oh, well, maybe I don't ... ' " Robbie told British Vogue last year. 

Margo acknowledged the controversy over the doll stating how the role ‘comes with a lot of baggage … But with that come a lot of exciting ways to attack it." 

We can't wait to see Ryan Gosling alongside Margot Robbie as Ken, plus Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Michael Cera and America Ferrera!
