With all the different social media channels we're faced with, we've kinda got certain things we use on certain channels. But maybe one channel will be able to do everything? It could be heading that way.

Not long after Snapchat introduced their new “Memories” feature which allows you to save and categorise your snaps and stories so you can repost them as often as your heart desires, the Facebook-owned app Instagram is now offering something very Snapchat-y with their new “Stories” feature.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg explained the feature in a recent post:

So basically it sounds like it'll work just like Snapchat's stories really...! You can string together a group of photos and videos in a story that will only last 24 hours. And you can also draw on them and add fun filters. Sound familiar!?

This feature is already there for you to update!

Instagram’s official blog page has more details about how you can make the most of the new features.
