If you're feeling down after finally catching up and watching all current existing episodes Game of Thrones, it's not just because you have to wait months for your next 'hit' of the show.Â
Using an online polling system, scientists at the University of Toledo asked North Americans about their binge-watching habits. The study defined binge-watching as consuming two to five consecutive hours of television in one day.
Around 35 percent of the people polled self-identified themselves as binge-watchers, and these binge-watchers showed higher levels of stress, anxiety and depression, compared to those who don't binge-watch.Â
