Under the sea WAS about to get a whole lot hotter with Harry Styles confirmed as the Prince...
But then Variety, along with other sources, confirmed that the One Direction hottie has infact turned down the iconic role.

The Little Mermaid remake is set to start production in January 2020, and features Halle Bailey as Ariel.
Disney is yet to confirm the news themselves, which could change everything. We just want to know who will be playing the hunky love interest!
The rest of the cast is yet to be announced, but star Javier Bardem is in talks to play Ariel’s father King Triton Melissa McCarthy, Jacob Tremblay, and Awkwafina who are circling Ursula, Ariel’s best friend Flounder, and Scuttle!
