Soooo a man was sketching gravestones at a 'graveyard next to a mental hospital' and took his Macbook to play music on. He went home and remembered the next day that he had accidently left it there!

When he returned to get it, he says, it was still open and playing Beethoven.

It was when he took the laptop home that "things started to get downright weird."

He says: "First, I noticed that ALL of my songs in iTunes had become scary or haunted. Second, the desktop background was changed to a scary photo."

Poltergeist activity was reported too. The seller reports returning home with his wife only to find his collection of baseball cards "were all out of order".

"To make matters spookier," he said "I occasionally saw the computer levitating. In some cases the screen and keyboard would open and shut quickly, as though the computer were attempting to speak."

He also described how the ghoulish computer managed to make direct contact - communicating chilling handwritten messages from beyond the grave.

"The way he communicates with us," he says, "is by grasping a pen between the keyboard and monitor and writing on pieces of printer paper from our home office.

"As such I am given to believe that this ghost may have lived in a time before computers, for he appears to be quite unaware of the purpose of the machine he inhabits."

The owner has made several attempts to "cleanse the spirit" - but after being escorted from a computer shop and wasting a bunch of money on expensive incense, the device is still possessed by a spectre.

But he says the ghost has been a positive addition to his family - giving him a hand cleaning the garage and "acting as a crucial sounding board when Barb and I had that rough patch last autumn".

Is this clearly a joke, is he messed up, or do you think his MacBook could really be haunted? We'll never know...
