Oh dear...
Mary and Jack McQueen were left devastated after paying for a dream holiday to Las Vegas only to discover they had booked to fly out of the wrong airport.
The couple had always wanted to go to Sin City and were delighted when they found bargain flights but didn’t realise was they had booked from Glasgow in Montana, USA, not Glasgow, Scotland.
Mary, said: “I had no idea there was a Glasgow anywhere else in the world. I got the fright of my life when I saw the e-tickets. You really couldn’t make this up.”
Gotogate (website they went through to book the tickets) refused to refund them, saying they were dependent on the airline, Hahn Air, offering a refund while Hahn Air insisted the reservation had to be revised by Gotogate.
But Mary called the Sunday Mail when they hadn’t transferred the seats or offered a refund.
Finally Gotogate agreed to refund the MacQueens as a gesture of goodwill.
They said: “We’ll be happy to assist the customers to book new tickets on our site."
