There is growing concern over the use of Tinder.
It comes on the back of what's alleged to have been the gang rape of a New Zealand woman in Sydney.
Australian police say the woman was in Sydney on business when she agreed to meet a man at a Kings Cross restaurant.
She says later at a nearby bar she became dizzy and disoriented, before being sexually assaulted by at least three men.
Australian correspondent Donna Demaio told Newstalk ZB's Rachel Smalley Australian police are now trying to warn the public about the dark side of such apps.
"Most people use these dating websites and apps for the right reasons, they want to meet people. But there are a number of sexual predators out there who are using this modern technology to find potential victims."
And police in Auckland are investigating two separate cases of women being raped after meeting men on Tinder.
