People are Being Tricked into Microwaving Their iPhones...

With the release of Apple's new iOS 8, someone thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of the gullable people of the world. And it worked.

Believed to have originated from 4chan, the below poster started circulating and boy did people fall for it. (To be fair, it looks pretty legit...but still............)

The above poster talks about a feature called “Apple Wave,” which claims to allow users to charge their iPhone 6 by heating it in a microwave. Incase you're still wondering...this does not work. You will destroy your iPhone.

It looks like people have fallen for it though! *facepalm*

This isn’t the first time that 4chan users have unleashed a destructive iPhone prank onto the Web. Coinciding with the release of iOS 7, fake promotional material that is believed to have originated from the image board claimed that the software update would waterproof their iPhone and iPad.
