There's no doubt that a lot of us here have a bit of a True Crime obsession, and online streaming has made it even easier for us access our guilty pleasure - watching absolutely f**ked up s*** (we're looking at you Abducted In Plain Sight).

These days, True Crime comes in many forms; articles, books, podcasts, series, docu-series, movies and probably like, holograms, in the future or something.

This time, your latest true crime obsession is in the form of a Dramatised Series - The Act - based on a stranger than fiction, real-life case.

The first season sees Gypsy Blanchard (played by Joey King), trying to escape her overprotective mother, Dee Dee (played by Patricia Arquette). During her pursuit to escape the toxic relationship, she finds that her life has not been what it seems, uncovering a secret that results in murder.

The original series by Hulu will be released March 20th 2019, but there's no word on if and when the series will be available to Kiwis.

All we know is that we're dying to see it.
