Jake and Jarni from Summer Thieves perform 'Funny How the Mind Works' in ZMs Acoustic Corner!

The kiwi band to keep an eye on this year. Jake and Jarni from Summer Thieves stopped by ZMs Acoustic Corner to strip back their latest tune, 'Funny How the Mind Works' for NZ Music Month. 

It's the third single off their forthcoming album, and it's got us pumped for what is yet to come. 'Funny How The Mind Works' takes inspiration from a 90s Californian surf sound, that has been put through a Kiwi filter. Its funky groove and catchy chorus will get that foot-tapping and vocals going in no time. 

The guys have recently wrapped up the last leg of their Australia tour, opening for L.A.B. Playing to huge crowds in all the major cities, it's no doubt their sound that seamlessly weaves pop, reggae and funk has won over the Aussies, just as much as us kiwis.
