New Zealand's three-piece outfit, LA WOMEN are back with their latest track “Under Pressure”, this week on Locals Only.
The soulful pop single effortlessly weaves vocals from lead singer, Jake, with starry-eyed instrumentals and an infectious beat that will draw listeners instantly from the outset.
Hailing from the small town of Masterton in the rural area of Wairarapa in New Zealand, LA WOMEN keep it close to home with the band consisting of cousins Jake Schdroski and Zac Emerson, and long-term primary school friend Jesse Brown.
Drawing inspiration from life’s everyday stresses, “Under Pressure” represents the familiar feeling of one being judged.
Speaking on the release, LA WOMEN say, “We feel it's a song anyone can relate to...2019 is a crazy time to live in. A lot of people are feeling the pressure to be somebody online and obtain social status. Living life surrounded by the internet can become draining.”
