Obviously rubbing food on your face is becoming a thing, as not long ago we reported on girls using onion slices to make their brows grow but now beauty bloggers are testing the skin healing powers of garlic by rubbing it on their pimples.

According to one beauty vlogger, Farah Dhukhai, it really works. She believes that rubbing a sliced garlic clove on your pimple will help it to dry up.

Cosmopolitan
asked a dermatologist in NYC, Amy Wechsler, about the new trend, and she said that this strange acne solution might actually work.

Dr. Wechsler said to Cosmopolitan that, "Allicin is the active ingredient in garlic. Allicin has anti-inflammatory properties, so it's possible that applying some could take down the inflammation."

We'll have to see if overcoming the smell is really worth it!
