These Girls Names Are About To Go Extinct

The British Office of National Statistics have released data that has revealed the girls names that could soon be extinct.

These figures come after a set of parents named their newborn son Gary, in an attempt to bring the name back into fashion, as only 33 baby boys were named Gary in 2014.

Here are some of the girls’ names that have slipped down the baby-name rankings from 1996 to 2014:

Carol – went from 802nd most popular  to 0, after no babies were named Carol in 2014

Annette - went from 944th most popular to 0, after no babies were named Annette in 2014

Kathleen – went from 227th most popular  to 715th

Susan – went from 397th most popular to 1882nd

Julie – went from 436th most popular to 1272nd

Donna – went from 441st most popular to 3514th

Elaine – went from 441st most popular to 3514th

Ann – went from 539th most popular to 1299th

Debbie – went from 571st most popular to 2464th

Sandra – went from 686th most popular to 1016th

Tracy – fell from from 686th most popular name to 3160th
