There's a new addition to Instagram's hashtag blacklist: #EDM.

EDM, an abbreviation for electronic dance music, can no longer be searched in the Instagram application because it was violating community guidelines, according to an Instagram spokesperson.

"In this case, #EDM was being used to share content that violates our guidelines around nudity," Gabe Madway told Time. Madway added that Instagram is working on a way to more quickly restore hashtags that have previously been blocked, and to better communicate its policies around hashtags.

There was outrage last month when Instagram banned #curvy. It was soon reinstated, but the hashtag is now extremely moderated. Other hashtags, such as #sex, #weed and #underwear, are banned until further notice. Users get around the blocked hashtags by adding words onto the banned words or spelling them differently - #boxershorts is allowed, yet #lingerie is not.
