With more people opting for meat-free food, business have been trialing plant-based burgers and no-chicken chicken left right and center.

Now, McDonalds has announced the trial of the P.L.T. (Plant, Lettuce, Tomato,) in 28 locations throughout Canada for 12 weeks.

The burgers are made with a Beyond Meat patty, a plant based product that aims to replicate the taste and texture of beef.

Although McDonald's launched a trial of a plant-based veggie burger in New Zealand on August 15 2019, the burger was only available to three Auckland stores for two weeks.

Unlike the P.L.T., this burger was made with a Vegetable patty.
