Vanessa Hudgen's Is Getting Major Hate For Her New Hairstyle

Over the weekend, Vanessa Hudgens decided to rock a new hairstyle, braids, and showed it off on Snapchat.

The actress seemed quite chuffed with her new ‘do, adding the caption “Yaaas braids", bur the internet aren't as receptive to the style.

Box braids are a hairstyle predominantly worn by black women and Hudgens soon faced backlash and accusations of cultural appropriation.

What makes it worse, is this is not actually the first time that Hudgens has been accused of cultural appropriation. She's received backlash from wearing a dreamcatcher in her hair, and a few years previous to that she wore a feathered, Native American headdress to Coachella.
