*WARNING - this story obviously contains Home and Away spoilers*
Home and Away is about to lose a classic and fans are shook.
The show must be an amazing set to work on, as a number of cast members have spent several years on Home and Away, including Kate Ritchie who departed in 2008 after 20 years playing Sally Fletcher.
And who could ever forget Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) who entered the 2002 Guinness World Records as the longest-serving actors in an Australian drama series.
Meagher along with Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts), Ada Nicodemou (Leah Patterson-Baker) and Emily Symons (Marilyn Chambers) are the longest-serving cast members currently on Home and Away.
But one of these long-serving cast members is leaving the show "indefinitely".
Lynne McGranger, who plays the iconic Irene Roberts, has revealed her plans to step away from the soap.
